How Can severe Leg Pain Along With Chills Be Treated?

Yes my husband has had the shingles. I took the shot 6 days ago. This afternoon out of the clear blue my knee & leg started hurting & hard for me to walk. Yesterday I had chills all over. My question is should I go to my doctor to get a shot before any shingles break out? I ve been reading so much about shingles and I m thoroughly confused. Thank you for your help. Nita Dawson

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, Shingles is not contagious. But as there is fever with chills and leg cramps, the definite reason of inflammatory condition has to be evaluated with your GP.

Primary relief with extended-release paracetamol is worth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
